Semi-soft Pecorino cheese with black pepper is mild in flavor with the bite of pepper. A sheeps milk cheese, this pecorino comes from the countryside around Rome where it is produced from same-day milk from local shepherds. Similar to the classic caciotta, the cheese is enhanced, but not overwhelmed, by whole black peppercorns.
