Martelli Penne is a very fine durum wheat semolina pasta made in Tuscany. This artisanal pasta is made only by members of the Martelli family using bronze dies to create a rough texture. The pasta, dried slowly in the traditional manner, absorbs sauces well. The Martelli's recommend cooking penne 8-9 minutes. Penne is good for large variety of sauces from cream to meat to vegetable to seafood.
